Great projects to get kids outdoors

Great to see the Exploring Nature Play project highlighted on National Trust’s Outdoor Nation blog this week. What’s it all about?

Exploring Nature Play helps children become more aware of the opportunities for play provided by the great outdoors. It’s a Play England initiative, funded by a grant from Natural England’s Access to Nature programme.

 What does it do?

The project has created an interactive play map that covers the whole of the UK and allows people to find playgrounds in their area. Locations on the map are handily categorised, from traditional playgrounds and parks to outdoor spaces that may be fun to explore.
